Christmas Walk No 1

Departing from Somerby Village Hall Car Park, we will follow Newbold Lane past the riding school and then take the footpath down to Burrough on the Hill. We will then turn back along Newbold before taking a path which is only free of cows in winter. Back onto Newbold towards Owston before joining the Leicestershire Round bridlepath back to Somerby.
There are no stiles, but there is some sheep pasture on this route, all dogs on leads through livestock.
This walk will depart provided there are at least 4 people walking.

8.5 miles
Departing from Somerby Village Hall Car Park, we will head towards Pickwell, following footpath, bridlepath and lane to Cold Overton, then footpaths to Knossington (where a Christmas tipple may be possible!) before taking footpaths and lanes to Owston and back on the Leicestershire Round path to Somerby.
There are some stiles and livestock pasture on this route. All dogs on leads through livestock.
